The Reception and Infant children have visited Whitehouse Farm as part of their topic on new life. There were so many animals to see and enjoy. Kate and Ciara were lucky enough to visit the sheep. Natalia, Faith and Emma stroked a baby rabbit and Joe and Grace cuddled the mice. Lana was brave enough to get close to a snake!
The year 5 class are currently working on the legend of Robin Hood. We thought we'd make the most of our superb woodland and have our drama session's outdoors.
Brandon was very good in the role of the evil sheriff. We were also able to make our own bow and arrows. Although firing them was a lot harder than it looks!
We finished our morning in the woodland with toasted marshmallows - which were delicious!
The year 5 and year 6 classes have recently visited Eden Camp as part of a topic on 'World War Two'.
James said, "It was a fantastic place to visit. It brought everything that we had learnt in the classroom to life." As you can see from our photos the classes were able to work on a submarine, squeeze into an air raid shelter and Amber and Nathan tried to guess the weekly allowance of food rations. How do you think they did?
The Reception and Year one children have been learning all about robots this half term. As you can see it has been a lot of fun! Some children have made their own robots. Jack and Sophia have practised walking like robots and Jack has made a robot from stickle bricks.
